There are many cliques in the company, and many middle-aged know-it-alls like to pull rank and cause trouble. Advancement is difficult without connections. I’ve seen people parachuted directly into positions despite never having even handled a PCB and having no relevant knowledge. The work is too easy, which leads to many people chatting and gossiping. Overall, the workplace atmosphere would be much better if these know-it-alls who enjoy talking about others were cleaned out.
The staffing agency was genuinely very considerate. The on-site staff did their best to speak up for us, and even when we weren’t selected, they actively helped arrange interviews with another company.
Even with relevant experience working at a major PCB manufacturer, I still wasn’t hired, simply because I had been a team leader at my previous company. They rejected me outright without even interviewing me. The reason given by HR was… (If a supervisor-level candidate came to interview with you today, I’m sure you wouldn’t hire them either, because you’d be afraid you couldn’t manage them.)
What a joke. Is your company really that afraid of competing with others? Are your abilities really that poor? Are you really that easily offended? There wasn’t even a proper interview or detailed discussion. On the day of the interview, there was another candidate who was also a team leader, but he was hired because… he looked more mature and steady!?
So the company I applied to is actually a modeling agency!?
Can you tell someone’s work ability just by looking at their appearance? Can you tell they’re steady without even interviewing them? Can you tell they won’t be difficult to manage without even speaking with them?
I’ve never encountered such an absurd company in an interview before…

What a joke—not paying overtime is only punished with a fine of NT$100,000.
The interview takes an extremely long time, and the internal staff are not very willing to train newcomers. The supervisor does not want to manage them either, and only keeps saying that you should find some questions to ask yourself or whatever. Everyone, please be extremely careful—under no circumstances should you go to such a terrible place!
