Read the community guidelinesThe salary is acceptable
People dodge work, and there are many old-fashioned senior managers
I interviewed for a position in the Information Department at the Neihu headquarters.
I performed rather poorly on the professional exam.
In fact, I already felt during the exam that I probably wouldn’t pass.
During the question period, I said I wanted to know where my technical skills needed improvement.
The supervisor gave me nearly an hour of technical advice
and shared personal experiences from more than ten years in the industry.
They even went straight to the whiteboard and wrote a piece of code.
I’ve never seen such a passionate interviewer!
The exam was extremely long, consisting of logic, junior-high-school math, English, and a professional test.
It could take up to two hours in total.
.
Before the exam, you have to fill out a lengthy résumé on the official website, including extensive personal information.
If you don’t get the job, it feels like a huge waste of time.
The final page asks about your aspirations and values.
It felt like a junior-high-school essay-writing contest full of nonsense, and was completely meaningless.
The interview location was fairly convenient
Received an interview invitation from the Digital Banking Department
At first, the sender did not specify which position the interview was for; they added it after I asked
On the day of the interview, the interviewer was more than 30 minutes late
On top of that, there was not even a glass of water available
After arriving, the interviewer enthusiastically introduced the company’s entire organizational structure
The interviewee had only gotten through a few pages of the prepared materials before being interrupted
The overall process was very casual, and I did not feel respected
CHB’s pay is toward the bottom of the industry. Originally, the only thing worth mentioning was the year-end bonus, but last year’s bonus was drastically cut again, leading to a wave of resignations after the New Year. Isn’t profitability supposed to be very high? There are many old-timer executives who get promoted through flattery and sycophancy; they have no ability and only hinder profitability.
