Pros

The interview is the interview, and work is work.

If you can accept not being enrolled in national health insurance through the company, and having your labor insurance and pension contributions suspended when you take leave and reinstated when you work,

then you are capable of doing this job.

Cons

HR's expertise is being good at speaking; when employees ask questions, it means the employees are the problem.

HR's expertise is helping Lizun save money: save wherever possible, and even where it is not possible to save, save anyway—it just depends on whether the employees know how to do the math.

Pros

1. Lunch and dinner are provided.

2. Employees receive 20% off on food orders.

Cons

Front desk staff:

1. The starting salary is very low, and it will not be raised after the probationary period. Promotion opportunities depend on your relationship with the department supervisor. In other words, salary increases are difficult to obtain. There is no subsidy for on-the-job training, nor for obtaining certifications while employed. No year-end bonus.

2. The front desk's own work is relatively easy, but you must also serve as a concierge, housekeeping staff member, and clerk. You must also be able to move heavy objects. Be prepared to be assigned tasks by the department supervisor that do not belong to your own department.

3. There is no overtime pay; all overtime is converted into compensatory leave. Sometimes you may be forced to leave work early. Flexible leave and national holidays do not mean you can take the same number of days off in a month; you may be required to keep them unused to offset the hours of early leave. When you resign, unused leave is converted into money. If the amount of leave taken exceeds the amount that can be deducted, money will be deducted from your pay.

4. The employee restroom on B1 is dim and cramped. Employees are not allowed to use the guest restrooms.

5. During the interview, they tell you that you have 60 minutes of break time, but in practice you only get 30 minutes. The remaining 30 minutes that you do not get to take cannot be reported as overtime or converted into compensatory leave. If you raise the issue of not receiving the full 60-minute break with the department supervisor, they will dismiss it with reasons such as “it depends on how busy things are on-site,” “whether there are tasks assigned,” and “the front desk staff and on-site staff are one unit.”

6. Work shifts: A (07:00–16:00), E (09:00–18:00), F (11:00–20:00), N (12:00–21:00), and B (15:00–24:00). If you work the F or N shift, you must eat beforehand and come to work. If you ask to take a break and eat lunch at noon, the shift supervisor or department supervisor will question why someone working a middle shift needs to eat. The E shift also has no dinner break; if you ask to eat dinner, you will likewise be questioned.
