Why is the position I interviewed for different from the position discussed during the phone invitation?

The lobby is beautiful
The interviewer wasn’t even the manager for the position mentioned in the email—it was an interview for a completely different position, ahhh! Do you realize that applicants spend time and money traveling back and forth???

Anyone can interview
The recruiters are so lazy that they just use email to ask you to call their extension proactively. It’s obvious they send out emails in bulk, scattering invitation emails everywhere and asking people to call the extension. The person who answers the extension is even different from the person named in the email. How many recruiters do they have making arrangements like this?
The atmosphere felt pretty good? The interviewers seemed like nice people?
The answers I received when asking by phone were unclear and ambiguous. After checking PTT, I saw many people saying that applicants are treated as sales figures. Is it really that difficult to send rejected applicants a canned rejection email within two weeks?
The company does not guarantee 14 months of pay, but you can receive the two-month year-end bonus, and there are four quarterly bonuses, each approximately 0.5 month’s salary, so it comes to roughly 16 months in total. In recent years, the company has been paying off its debts, so profit sharing has not been distributed for quite some time. However, I’ve heard that the debt may soon be fully repaid, so there may be something to look forward to. If I receive it, I’ll come back and share it with everyone.
As for the work, I think the description on PTT’s Tech forum is quite apt: civil servants in the tech industry. It’s not very tiring, but the pay is just average. After all, if you have money, you have no work-life balance; since we don’t have money, of course we should have a good quality of life!! So leaving work on time is generally possible. However, it varies from department to department. At least, that’s how it is in my department.
Although the department is quite demanding, I am satisfied with the overall benefits and salary. The division of responsibilities between departments and among engineers is clear, and there is a certain standard of quality control and respect for professionalism. The boss is also willing to listen to engineers’ opinions! Everyone is welcome to join us and work hard together!
Although the stock was delisted, operations are still fairly good. Employee benefits are better than some, though not as good as others.
For those looking for a job, I advise you not to judge a company by its stock price. Haven’t you seen that some companies with high stock prices are very stingy toward their employees?
After five years with the company, I can basically say that the work environment is good. Compared with typical companies, the policies of the founder and chairman are more employee-oriented (comparatively speaking). The compensation is not as good as TSMC’s, but surprisingly, it amounts to approximately 15–17 months’ salary. The benefits are good and there are many activities, though it is a pity that there is no travel subsidy. Most tasks in the work environment are divided very specifically, and the team is also willing to help one another, so working here feels good. There is relatively little seniority-based culture within the team, and we warmly welcome newcomers. However, I’ve heard that you shouldn’t go to a certain department because the workload there is extremely demanding.
