New employees who join are only bullied by other newcomers. The current deputy plant manager of the Philippine plant is a Filipino of overseas Chinese descent, a second-generation mainland Chinese immigrant, and is extremely unfriendly toward Taiwanese people. Internal company infighting is severe, and the company also requires its management staff to localize in the Philippines. No matter how hard you work, your performance will still be rated the worst. As soon as you join, they team up with mainland Chinese managers to bully Taiwanese managers. In addition, Deputy General Manager Chiu of Beihai is also extremely unfriendly toward Taiwanese people. Taiwanese employees who have just joined are merely bullied by mainland Chinese managers and berated by this deputy general manager in front of those managers. I strongly advise everyone not to join this company, Chicony, or you will end up suffering a nervous breakdown.

The interviewer was friendly.
Director Li ×, the PM, and the chief engineer × of the country—at least in theory, both senior executives are extremely incompetent. I heard that the chief engineer cannot even understand English papers, and Director Li seems to do nothing but bully the engineers below and convey the boss’s wishes, lacking the demeanor expected of a senior executive. I strongly do not recommend this company. The old-timers’ goal is to drive newcomers away, so those with strong abilities should be careful.

A company with serious internal infighting! Be sure to negotiate your salary fully before joining, as the chances of a raise are close to zero! Always be prepared to leave, because you could become a casualty of the internal power struggles at any time.
