Pros

Taking leave is indeed quite flexible. (For legitimate reasons)

Cons

The job description is for reference only; there are quite a few miscellaneous tasks to handle (including even processing work on the production line). The product positioning lacks direction (the company manufactures hydrogen products for a Japanese direct-sales company, but there are few orders). Performance has not grown in recent years, and the turnover rate is high. There are also very few applicants. There are online reviews—you can search for them; they are real. That’s all I’ll say here.

Regarding the employer (a Buddhist), the way they speak to employees involves testing human nature, so you need to be able not to take it to heart when you hear insults, attacks on people, or remarks lacking discretion that create negative karma. In addition, regular meetings are reasonable, but during meetings about the products, one-fifth of the time is spent discussing matters completely unrelated to the company. The employer strongly seeks attention and displays a sense of superiority (a one-person dictatorship).

Whether you can stay for long depends on whether you can earn the employer’s trust and understand the boss’s thoughts. In most cases, the employer is not at fault; it is always the employees’ problem (according to the employer).

Pros

None

Cons

1. HR did not provide the correct company address; the address listed in the job posting was the warehouse… I made the trip for nothing.

2. The assistant position does not pay much (less than 30K).

3. During the interview, I was told that someone in this position would not only handle their own duties. It feels like the job responsibilities could cover a wide range of tasks, so please think twice before applying.

4. There are many people in the office, and the overall atmosphere feels chaotic.

5. The company location is inconvenient to get to (there is no MRT, only buses).

The above is my personal interview experience for reference only. Many points are based on the interviewer’s answers and my own assumptions, so they may not be entirely accurate.
