Read the community guidelinesThe interview process was not explained clearly at all, so I have no idea how good the benefits are…
First interview:
Please see the interview experience written on Interview Fun; I’m too lazy to write it again.
Second interview: The interviewer was the CFO, who spoke with a Mainland Chinese accent. They stated that they had been unable to find a suitable candidate for a long time. Later, they hoped that the person hired would start as an accounting assistant and then transition to a full-time position through training. However, the accounting position is a one-year renewable contract through a staffing agency; if you are not promoted to AR, you have to leave. It felt like the company was looking for disposable workers, and my impression of the company became very poor.
On top of that, the Taiwan branch has no IT personnel. The company is currently undergoing a system transition, so any problems have to be submitted to Indian engineers by email in English.
It makes you wonder: Does the company really have such a small budget? Can’t it even afford the salary of one IT employee? AR work is not easy, and you also have to support the system transition. No wonder no one wants to stay at a company like this for the long term; people want to leave after working there for only a short time. It seems that the working hours and benefits may not be commensurate.
They also tried to convince me that joining a foreign company would add experience to my résumé. I found that very unconvincing.
In March, salaries are adjusted based on performance reviews (the salary difference retroactive to January is also paid), and bonuses (year-end bonuses) are distributed. They are usually over NT$100,000. At the year-end party, everyone wins a prize; in fiscal year 2018, the least valuable prize was a NT$20,000 iPad.
The company is not large, so there are too few job openings (I really want to work for this company).
