Pros

None. Overall, it was extremely poor. They showed very little respect for professional expertise, and their attitude was extremely unpleasant—despite being a small company, they acted as though they were superior to everyone else.

Cons

I interviewed for a position at the factory, and hope candidates considering the vacancy will read this first.

1. The process took a little over two hours, with nearly an hour spent just waiting. At the beginning, HR made an insinuating remark that I had arrived too early, but the interview still did not start on time and began at least 20 minutes later than scheduled.

2. The interviews were conducted separately by the hiring manager and HR. Both asked far too many hypothetical and repetitive questions, constantly focusing on “if...,” but I do not think their production scale and processes require so many hypothetical scenarios. Although this was a technical position, most of the questions were unrelated to technical expertise or experience.

When I asked in return whether such situations actually occurred at their company, they would reply, “It’s just a hypothetical...” The HR section manager in particular kept going around in circles when asking questions.

3. Despite being a very small company, they were very fond of putting on airs. Many large companies would not even behave this way.

4. The R&D and quality assurance manager said that their background was in food, yet also stated that they were unfamiliar with food regulations. That is quite a joke.

The recruiting team should take a good look at the company’s own conditions. The company itself is nothing special, yet it is very good at finding fault with others. There is no need to ask about career planning, because you will not be able to provide employees with other opportunities for growth and development over the next five years. At most, you are a small company of around 50 people, including retail-store staff. Discussing career planning only makes sense if there is a sufficient organizational structure to provide employees with promotion opportunities; otherwise, everyone is merely working to make a living.
