Pros

Overtime pay, compensatory leave, missed-meal allowance, and an attendance bonus for working past 10 p.m.

That is also the only advantage.

Cons

1. There is an enormous temperature gap between the Sales and Graphic Design departments. Sales treats Graphic Design like dogs.

2. It is a family business. The sons and daughters are all in Sales, so it goes without saying who gets blamed when something goes wrong.

3. Graphic Design is guarded like thieves. They all think Graphic Design slacks off at work, or that Graphic Design simply does not want to do this or that.

4. If you suggest ways to improve the workflow, the company treats you as a troublemaker.

5. The owner and all the managers think overtime is only natural.

6. The owner once said personally that advertising agencies do not have quitting time.

7. The head of Graphic Design is useless. They do not manage what you are doing, but conversely, when people give you shit, they will not stand up for you either.

8. While a project is in progress, if you want to leave work, you have to report it to Sales. You can only leave when Sales says it is okay.

9. Every problem here is considered your own problem.

10. The credibility of the owner's private promises to employees is probably only one-tenth.

In short, if you want to do design, do not come here. If you are interested in printing or large-format graphics, do not come here either.

If you take freelance projects outside, please do not come here and waste your time.

If you want to do window-display or merchandising design, do not come here either, because this is not that kind of company.

I could fill the remaining four thousand words, but I am afraid you would not finish reading them.

I worked here for three years and watched many people come and go. Not a single issue that was raised was ever resolved.

Everything gets defined as a communication problem—and specifically, a communication problem between you and other people.

In short, do not come here and waste your time.

Before I resigned, I saw two Graphic Design employees arguing with Sales. Sales directly yelled, "Fuck your mother," and other filthy insults at the Graphic Design employee, and nothing happened.

Then the Graphic Design employee left soon afterward. I do not know whether they resigned or were forced out, lol.

Pros

Birthday bonuses, perfect attendance bonuses

Cons

1. The leave application process is unclear. After notifying them verbally or by mail, employees still have to wait for the boss to decide whether the request can be approved before taking leave. The boss makes things difficult for employees and even repeatedly questions requests for menstrual leave, which is very rude and disrespectful to employees.

2. Meeting topics are not transparent, and many policies are decided on an ad hoc basis. The sales department’s benefits are relatively better than those of the graphic design department, yet most of the responsibility falls on the graphic designers, who are required to write review reports and even pay compensation. This is very unfair.

3. Graphic designers are required to assist with sales-related tasks unconditionally under the premise of mutual support within the company, sometimes working until the middle of the night. At times, they are required to finish the work before overtime pay begins to accrue, and the workload assigned far exceeds the scope of their job.

Pros

There is overtime pay and an entrance fee, in accordance with the Labor Standards Act.

Cons

A friend used to work there and said that the owner does not respect employees, often invades their privacy, seems to enjoy watching the surveillance cameras and listening to employees’ casual conversations, calling them in for private chats, or sowing discord.

The turnover is high; someone leaves almost every two months. There is also a constant stream of interviewees, but they do not stay long.

Employees are required to pay for mistakes they make, and the payment must be made in cash with a signed consent form indicating that it is voluntary.
