Pros

There are three bonuses. The environment at the Luzhu R&D Center is fairly good, and the year-end banquet is a buffet held at the Luzhu plant.

Cons

The company is managed according to personal preferences, with the boss having the final say on everything, big or small. However, the boss's decisions often change constantly. Employees below often work themselves to the bone, while meetings are unnecessarily long. The boss frequently goes off topic, boasts about his own accomplishments, and reaches no conclusions. He often assigns tasks on a whim, so the workload keeps increasing while salaries do not. There is severe infighting within the company. Young people who come to work here will truly have their motivation worn down. If you only want to collect a fixed paycheck and do not seek career development, you can work here.

Pros

1. Interaction among colleagues is decent.

2. Supervisors are approachable, with no hierarchical pressure.

3. Working hours are regular, and it is easy for engineers to apply for overtime pay.

Cons

Based on my experience in the department that currently has the greatest shortage of staff on the job-search websites at this company...

1. The applied-for position (R&D Engineer) differs from the actual duties (as described below), which would be one thing, but one person is expected to handle R&D, manufacturing, production control, warehousing, inspection, and quality assurance simultaneously. Even if being a one-stop operation were acceptable, the department leader assumes that you appear to have nothing to do and assigns additional unrelated (administrative) tasks. When you report to your direct supervisor that there is too much work, the supervisor will only tell you to swallow it and deal with it.

2. There is no training system at all for new employees, and unlike other companies, there is no regular training (such as Six Sigma, etc.).

3. The department leader does not go to the production site to observe the process conditions, but conducts experiments and small-batch production entirely based on imagination. Naturally, the results are failures, and a great deal of time is spent doing meaningless work.

My personal view: If you want to coast until retirement, you can come here. But if you want to gain experience through this company, I suggest not wasting your life here.

Pros

The pay structure is normal; unlike other companies, they don’t deliberately suppress the base salary to save on labor and health insurance contributions.

Cons

The work content is completely chaotic, with management based on personal rule. Based on my six months of experience, R&D engineers are also expected to work in the warehouse, catch bugs for the chairman, tend the vegetable garden, and so on. We also have to keep conducting pointless trial-and-error experiments. There is almost no R&D capability here; capable people discover that something is wrong after joining and then resign, so the company is completely unable to retain talent.

In addition, during regular meetings, we are not allowed to speak freely. We can only read the words on the screen like robots, while the entire meeting consists of listening to the chairman constantly brag about how capable he was thirty years ago.

Finally, we are forced to arrive at the company at seven every morning to watch the chairman perform welding for an hour. We are not allowed to speak throughout and can only stare blankly as if we were there to protect him.

In my view, working at this company is simply a waste of life.
