1. Interaction among colleagues is decent.
2. Supervisors are approachable, with no hierarchical pressure.
3. Working hours are regular, and it is easy for engineers to apply for overtime pay.
Based on my experience in the department that currently has the greatest shortage of staff on the job-search websites at this company...
1. The applied-for position (R&D Engineer) differs from the actual duties (as described below), which would be one thing, but one person is expected to handle R&D, manufacturing, production control, warehousing, inspection, and quality assurance simultaneously. Even if being a one-stop operation were acceptable, the department leader assumes that you appear to have nothing to do and assigns additional unrelated (administrative) tasks. When you report to your direct supervisor that there is too much work, the supervisor will only tell you to swallow it and deal with it.
2. There is no training system at all for new employees, and unlike other companies, there is no regular training (such as Six Sigma, etc.).
3. The department leader does not go to the production site to observe the process conditions, but conducts experiments and small-batch production entirely based on imagination. Naturally, the results are failures, and a great deal of time is spent doing meaningless work.
My personal view: If you want to coast until retirement, you can come here. But if you want to gain experience through this company, I suggest not wasting your life here.
