Pros

Administrative assistant

Cubicle seating

Cons

Before joining, I had browsed previous reviews and thought that after trying it for a year, things would unconditionally get better.

I had not even encountered the story about the boss’s mistress’s child mentioned in point 3 before I had already left the job. I strongly do not recommend this position: there is no training, and there is a lot of infighting.

1. The company is vegetarian; the situations described below are all true.

2. The person who supervised me was effectively the boss’s assistant (I’m not sure whether she was the boss’s wife). She required employees to figure out the ERP system on their own after joining and did not provide proper training. Even she herself did not really understand how to use it.

3. The company received many phone calls, and the atmosphere was very dull. All work relied on paper records.

4. Every week, there was a meeting to review the previous week’s performance. The production department relied on the delivery dates provided by the business assistants, but there was no supporting SOP for determining delivery dates, so everyone was thrown into chaos.

5. I noticed that assistants who worked diligently had more tasks, while those who did not work hard were assigned very little. The workload was unevenly distributed.

6. I encountered the boss’s mother mentioned below several times, but never spoke with her. I heard a lot of gossip.

7. Nobody left work on time. The one-stop nature of the work created a high level of self-imposed pressure.

8. Employees had to take turns cleaning the toilets, and the company used groundwater.

Recommendation: This is only suitable for people who are highly independent, do not have too much self-awareness, and are smart and good at reading the room.

Otherwise, I do not recommend it at all.

I heard that the year-end banquet serves vegetarian food… and that it is mandatory!!

Pros

1. There are bonuses, the three traditional holiday bonuses, and a year-end bonus.

You earn them by risking your life, and only if the boss feels like giving them to you 😊

2. Coworkers can be good or bad. The good ones are partners who work alongside you with their lives on the line—well... there aren't many of them 😂

Cons

1. Continuing with the flaws in the bonus and other systems: if they don't want to give you something, they can use any pretext, such as “according to company regulations.” But no written rules ever appear. In other words, if I want to give it to you, you kneel down and thank me; if I don't, you just swallow it.

2. The bad coworkers include those busy currying favor with the boss's mistress, those busy going out to smoke every day, and workplace bullying such as the boss's mother berating employees in quality control, saying, “You're all dogs raised by my son.” Isn't it time for the Labor Bureau to get moving? 😊

3. Wealthy bosses usually have a mistress; that's normal (?)

But this particular mistress has a company, children, a house, and a car. She struts around as if she owns the place and has absolutely no shame.

The reason fewer cases come to light is that people still generally have some basic moral standards. Well, not here, thanks 😊

4. Like mother, like daughter: the mistress's daughter doesn't feel ashamed either. She wanders around the workplace and even demands that an employee who loves smoking look after her. But to the smoking employee: you have no chance of marrying into a wealthy family, so wake up already.

5. They think the company has systems in place, but in reality it is a complete mess, held together by responsible employees who can't stand to watch it fall apart.

6. It's 2025, and they're still obsessed with requiring everything to be written on paper with a pen. If one copy of a manufacturing order goes missing, the entire operation comes to a halt. Truly amazing.

7. Customers who still do business with this company have incredible patience. You have to wait two or three months just to order something, even when it's a common, readily available material.

8. Employees throughout the company work according to their moods. If they're in a bad mood, they stop working and slack off, and then expect you to curry favor with them.

9. The fire-extinguisher equipment, occupational safety measures, and so on do not comply with regulations. They have enough influence to know in advance when an agency is coming to inspect: they instantly replace everything, clear the passageways, hide toxic substances, and so on, then restore everything as soon as the inspectors leave. Employees' lives and property are being put at risk.

10. The company is vegetarian. Although it doesn't force you to be vegetarian, you have to hide to eat meat; otherwise, if the boss sees you, you may be blacklisted and lose your bonus.

11. The company does not value talent and treats every employee as disposable. It forces employees to switch positions; refuse to take over and you're blacklisted. Accept the position but can't handle it, and you're blacklisted too. To employees who resign: sorry, but you're simply ungrateful traitors.

12. What happens if you're blacklisted? Basically, if I want to deduct however much money I want from you, there's nothing you can do about it. Then they publicly psychologically manipulate and humiliate you, arbitrarily transfer you to other positions, and say, “At worst, you can resign yourself. I'm too kind-hearted to lay employees off.”

13. The mistress's company is called Shengmao Technology. Don't worry, they won't be hiring, because they use Speck's employees to work for them.

Pros

The colleagues are okay~ They will help out when there are problems.

There is air conditioning, but it is not very cool.

Cons

I worked in the packaging department for a little over half a year. At first, someone would help guide me, but talking during work hours was not allowed. The boss’s wife would sometimes give people dirty looks, so everyone was extremely cautious. The main issue was not the work, but the boss’s wife. The boss rarely came in; occasionally, his daughter could be seen. The family-business atmosphere was very oppressive. Although the company provided vegetarian lunch boxes, they were very unappetizing, and I would easily get hungry in the afternoon, so I had to bring my own food.

I have a somewhat lively personality. If you are planning to work here, I would suggest being introverted and not talking back, as that personality may be more suitable.

After leaving the job, my overall impression was negative.

Pros

The boss gives bonuses. After working for half a year, starting from then, a quarterly bonus is provided, which is a decent benefit.

The monthly salary is not very good either—NT$27,450, probably the current minimum. Compared with outside, other positions pay about NT$2,000–3,000 more.

Being very close to the city center is probably the only major advantage. The colleagues are actually very nice, but this is not suitable for young people who want to venture out, because the senior managers inside are extremely exploitative. Verbal threats are one thing; when you really encounter problems and want to resolve them, you can only endure them on your own.

Cons

This company is a traditional family business. The boss, the boss’s mother, and even the boss’s mistress all work at the company (the boss brings his wife on employee trips). The boss often uses this as an excuse, saying that this means he is taking responsibility for two families?

Employees are often suppressed or called dogs, or told that slaves should simply obey. Being under this pressure continuously for a long time is extremely uncomfortable.

I worked at this company for more than three years, and this was not merely a temporary job. I completed every assigned task with all my effort. However, whenever I raised issues or proposed improvement plans, the boss would act like a coward and summon his mistress to scold employees. He opened a subsidiary for his mistress and transferred customers to her—is this so the cash flow would not be checked by his wife?

Employees who make a fuss get fewer tasks, while those who work hard end up doing three jobs by themselves. If they do not do them well, they are scolded and told that they are difficult to teach and cannot understand human speech.

The boss’s mother also relies on her son’s company for power. Whenever she is unhappy, she throws things at work and finds fault everywhere. We are all our parents’ precious children; we do not need to be humiliated here.

Many colleagues wrote appeals when they resigned. In the end, the boss still treated them as a joke.

Every day, the boss takes his mistress to look at land for construction projects and shows off how rich he is. Honestly, how can he expect employees to respect and believe in him?

I advise everyone not to come here. I will also submit my resignation soon. To those who come after us: you are all wonderful.

Do not come to work here.
