The HR department is extremely unprofessional. At the agreed-upon time, I was told that the supervisor was in a meeting. I was also informed that there would be a second-round interview, but then there was no further news. When I followed up, I received a very disrespectful, mocking response. It was extremely uncomfortable. This company shows very little respect for job applicants, so I imagine there would not be much opportunity for career development here.

HR and the manager were friendly during the interview.

They notify you of acceptance by phone but do not provide an email offer letter. Do not believe it until you receive a written offer; keep interviewing. A few days after the notification, they said they were still determining the salary, and the boss required a test assignment—not an ordinary amount of work. There was plenty of time from the interview notification through the interview itself to explain that there would be a test assignment process, but they deliberately waited until after notifying me of acceptance to mention it. It is basically deceptive and causes you to turn down other offers. I do not recommend it.

Entry-level positions or jobs that do not require dealing with senior executives may be worth considering. Otherwise, please read the following:

The job responsibilities and strategic direction change from morning to night. There is workplace PUA, everyone is treated as disposable, and you may be threatened with being fired or laid off at any time. Aside from the relatives and favorites of senior management, the next-level supervisors mainly exist to take the blame for KPIs and settle accounts; after all, if one person is fired, there are still countless others.

Certain positions that require dealing with senior executives have extremely high turnover, with three or four managers or team members being replaced in a year. Consider them only if you can tolerate an emotional and highly controlling management style; otherwise, you will merely become one of the many people in the lengthy handover folder.

A week after the interview, I received a notification, but it wasn't an offer notification. It said that the appointment approval had already been submitted. Without receiving a written offer, don't get your hopes up too high—keep looking at other companies… In my case, I only had one interview and received the notification a week later. There was no trial assignment or anything; it was simply a one-hour interview, including discussing the salary with HR.

About another week later, I received a rejection letter, so don't wait—keep interviewing and continue looking for other openings. If you haven't received a written offer, it doesn't count. Don't foolishly wait around.

I interviewed for a design position and went through three interviews, from a supervisor all the way to the head of HR. They made it seem as though I was going to be hired, but the head of HR asked questions that were quite rude and direct. This company is very manipulative: they kept asking me to design the packaging and promotional materials for their Miantian health food products... I have so many works in my portfolio, yet they still pressured me into designing them through a combination of persuasion and coercion.

They gave me the impression verbally that there was a 99% chance they would hire me, so I agreed to design the packaging and promotional materials. After I submitted them, I heard nothing for one or two weeks??????

In the end, I had to call them myself to ask. A junior HR staff member told me that the position had later been withdrawn and they had decided not to hire anyone after all. This is truly an awful company. No wonder it is related to Han XX; the HR department has very little credibility. I advise everyone not to apply there. They also expect one person to do the work of several people.

I had already explained that I left because the company’s systems were inadequate, yet they kept pressing me with aggressive questions. They then turned around and lectured me for leaving without finishing everything for the company, implying that I thought the inadequate systems were entirely the company’s fault and not my responsibility. Don’t they know that work is supposed to include a handover? This clearly shows that what they need is obedient labor. It is truly regrettable that a company of this scale has such an attitude toward staff turnover.

The company operates under a fully responsible work system, so working hours can easily exceed the standard. Overtime is compensated only with time off in lieu.

The company is rife with severe internal power struggles, and these conflicts extend to every subsidiary of the Want Want China Times Group.

Simply put, the individual subsidiaries themselves do not accomplish much. People who only talk and flatter those above them often climb the ranks,

as do lifelong employees who got in through connections and can never be removed~
