For the year-end raffle, the boss makes sure to have more slips for themselves, saying that the drawing should be based on seniority. So, no matter how many times they draw, it’s always the more senior employees who take all the prizes sponsored by vendors. Sounds great, right?
They promise a raise but won’t give one—rest assured.
The junior staff get along well, and the woman in the HR department is a person of good character.
- The company does not pay overtime; working past 8 p.m. earns an extra NT$100.
- It is an open-plan office, so you can hear a lot of noise. Besides ordinary chatting, there are aggressive remarks and frighteningly emotional comments, some of which could even be considered workplace bullying. (Quite dramatic.)
- The positions advertised may involve multiple roles, and work assignments are distributed according to the supervisor’s preferences.
- The company’s managers are all friends of the boss!
- Basically, the only jobs people can stay in for a long time are those held by veterans who have already been there for five or six years, or jobs with consistently steady output (animation, graphic design, video editing). People may not stay long in the other positions; recently, most have stayed for less than two months!
The most memorable incident was when four people left one department. Customer service staff often have to deal with product-related problems, and the counter sales staff have a very difficult job. Did the supervisor bring in their own daughter to work as a part-time employee? The salary seemed to be quite high?

Colleagues are easy to get along with
The company is unlikely to go under
- There is little room for employee growth or salary adjustments
- Senior management lacks a clear plan
- Most of the company's business revolves around event projects
- The job responsibilities described during the interview were not quite the same as the work assigned afterward
- The office has mostly female employees, and sometimes the atmosphere involves loud chatting. It can feel very noisy when trying to concentrate on work
- No overtime pay
- Often required to do work unrelated to the position
- The three holiday bonuses are deducted from the year-end bonus
- Don't expect there to be no harm
The frontline colleagues are all nice.
1. They conduct fake interviews, when in reality they just want to hear about the interviewee’s experience and reports and then learn from them.
2. Many people in the company are the boss’s relatives and close friends—very scary.
3. They promise a salary increase, but in reality they don’t give one. When you ask, they say it’s still going through the approval process; after seven months, it still hasn’t been completed.
4. The boss is deeply pro-blue.

The salary is relatively low
The interviewer said that they would notify me regardless of whether I was hired, but in the end, I still received no response.
