They proactively contacted me to interview, and we had a very pleasant conversation during the interview (I genuinely felt completely deceived), giving me the impression that they were making grand promises. Moreover, there was a two-week gap between the date I was notified to start work after the interview and the date discussed during the initial interview—an enormous waste of time.
I only found out later why I had to wait two weeks: after my interview, another employee with a similar job title joined the company. However, although he interviewed later than I did, he was terminated after working for only one week. Then, coincidentally, I reported for work the day after he was terminated... (Huh?... What a coincidence XD)
The position advertised at the time of the interview was related to advertising, but on my first day, the boss asked me to design the homepage of a new website (?????). Then, on the second day, he said he was dissatisfied with my work and required me to create three homepage designs. On the third day, he was still dissatisfied with my work and used this as a reason to threaten that he would terminate me or reduce my salary if I could not produce work he approved of. However, I did not wait for him to terminate me; I resigned first.
Throughout the process, the boss was emotionally unstable and would humiliate you based on his own opinions. However, that was not his area of expertise; simply because he was the boss, he believed that what he said was absolute. He would have a non-expert instructing an expert, go on at length without getting to the point, and show extreme disrespect for professional expertise. Treat the salary listed on the employment website as reference only, since they may suddenly terminate you or make strange requests such as reducing your salary.
Simply put, I very strongly advise against joining this company. Unless you are unusually eager to develop your emotional intelligence or want to accumulate unusually intense work experience, you should think twice.
The boss said that work starts punctually at 9 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m., with holidays on public holidays, but I don’t know whether that’s really true.
They proactively contacted me for an interview, but after I arrived, they seemed to realize that my experience did not really match their job requirements. They started saying that my experience was not very relevant to the position, then drastically cut my expected salary—so much so that it was even lower than the minimum base salary they said they would offer on the website. I was just like, ???
My résumé clearly described my previous work responsibilities and areas of expertise. They invited me to an interview without looking carefully, then started saying on-site that I didn’t meet the job requirements, while still presenting it as if they were giving me an opportunity, blablabla. Then they offered me an absurdly low salary. Seriously, what is wrong with them??? They clearly invited me to the interview, but made it seem as though I had proactively submitted my résumé and was desperate to get the job. They were the ones who invited me—could they please get their facts straight???
The job description also said it involved promoting a startup platform and building everything from scratch—in other words, you would essentially be joining a startup. There are performance targets to meet, but the bonus system is unclear. It really feels like employees would be exploited after joining. I suggest that anyone considering an interview think carefully.
It probably won't be too stressful for beginners.
