The HR department at such a large company is nevertheless very unprofessional.

The employee hierarchy is very apparent, with those above putting pressure on those below. People at the bottom receive tasks from all directions. There is no work-life balance.

HR Ms. J has quite a poor attitude.

She was very disrespectful of the expected salary stated by the job applicant.

She kept asking, “What makes you think you can ask for such a high salary?”

Her attitude was also inexplicably arrogant.

In the end, she required a withholding tax statement as proof for determining the salary.

The company has a very high turnover rate, especially in the finance department.

A very time-wasting interview

If you have extra money for transportation, you may as well attend.

Then they could have just asked over the phone in the first place. Why make people come all the way there?

The HR representative had an extremely poor attitude. They immediately started asking questions in an aggressive tone, making me wonder what they were trying to prove. After asking about my current compensation, they hung up. What the heck？？？

I went to interview for a mid-level management position at a jewelry brand. The HR manager looked me up and down as soon as we met, which made me uncomfortable. After asking me to introduce myself, they ended the interview by saying that I had no relevant jewelry experience. The whole thing lasted less than five minutes... I can understand that the luxury goods industry requires not only professional expertise but also appearance, but whether these two aspects meet their basic requirements is clearly visible on a 104 résumé, isn’t it? Since they invited someone to an interview, shouldn’t they show the appropriate level of respect? Perhaps they decided at first glance that I was not a suitable candidate, but was it really impossible to observe basic social courtesy? The experience only left me feeling that the luxury goods industry is superficial and realistic, and gave me a very poor impression. Although I never worked there, this interview experience offers a glimpse of what it is like and may be useful as a reference.
