Pros

.

Cons

1. Most of the senior managers have been doing this for practically their entire careers. They are basically firmly ensconced and very comfortable in their positions. Those lower down simply act as little cogs in the machine, and if something goes wrong or targets are missed, they are used as scapegoats.

2. Sometimes employees are required to work overtime or support weekend events. No overtime pay is provided; compensatory leave is granted only when management is in a good mood or too many people complain.

3. They talk about being very innovative, but in reality it is an extremely traditional old-line manufacturing company.

4. The company does not pay overtime, but being late results in fines and other disciplinary measures.

5. They often pretend to be a large enterprise by holding online meetings with different offices across the two sides of the Strait and Hong Kong, but in reality, people in the other offices are distracted and not listening attentively. The company spends a great deal of time doing inefficient things.

6. The company owner is very superstitious and takes all employees’ information to fortune-tellers to determine seating arrangements.

Cons

HR barely introduced the company’s situation and only said it was the same as on 104. Regarding the year-end bonus, they said it was fixed, but then added that it still depended on operating conditions. Overall, the company operates under a responsibility-based work system with no overtime pay, unless there is a major project, in which case compensatory leave may be provided. The interviewing manager seemed indifferent, as if they were only half-listening, and asked me to repeat the introduction after I had already finished explaining it—apparently they hadn’t been listening at all. They repeatedly emphasized overtime and asked how I felt about working overtime. Overall, the impression was not very good.
