It can train you to face unreasonable demands and adapt your mood and mindset when dealing with illogical work content, helping you develop an “it doesn’t matter” attitude.
First of all, this is a company with absolutely no systems in place. From the owner to the management, no one cares at all about various plans and regulations; they only care about appearances and keeping the owner happy by flattering them. There is no consensus between departments, making it impossible for those below to get things done, with no clear goals or decisions. They do not know how to respect employees—even employees’ most important and closely watched salary payments can be forgotten. How did things come to this? If, according to the company, everything seems to be important, wouldn’t that be contradicting itself?
Responsibilities are unclear, planning is inadequate, professionalism is not respected, employees are held in contempt, there are no benefits whatsoever, and the owner and managers use emotionally driven management. I strongly do not recommend this company to anyone.
Aside from the frontline staff being easy to get along with, there are no other advantages.
Old-school bosses, a family-run business, and serious infighting among lower-level managers. The company is very stingy. Female employees who dye their hair a color other than brown are told by male managers to dye it back to black, even though those male managers are married and have daughters and still cannot empathize with women… There are many other issues as well.
Apart from getting along well with colleagues, it is basically hell.
The boss, Weng CO, fundamentally has no intention of running the department store. He opened it merely to give his political and business celebrity friends a place to shop and to enjoy the title of honorary chairman. Vendors already have a hard time setting up counters, yet they are still forced to have the floor managers demand that vendors lower their discount prices to sell to him. Even when vendors sell to him, they still have to issue him invoices so he can take a cut—double exploitation. I worked at this company for a little over a year. None of the employees could get raises or promotions; each department had only one person, and vacancies were never filled. The boss had an enormous number of personal affairs, all of which required the entire staff to help and work overtime, yet the overtime could not be reported and no overtime pay was provided. The company’s senior managers spent all day currying favor with the boss, wasting time and talking nonsense, and dodging responsibility whenever problems arose. Every so often, someone inexplicably parachuted in above you to become your supervisor, while you still did the actual work. These people were neither professionals nor did they know what they were supposed to do. In addition, employees were forced to perform on stage at the year-end banquet, leaving no time to eat. Boss Weng CO once said that the highest salary was NT$28,000 at the starting level and that the year-end bonus was at most 0.5 month’s salary, with no bonuses for the three major holidays. If you want to try a career life like a dog, feel free to come to this company for “training,” but you might not last even a few years.
No advantages
During the interview, they actually said that labor and health insurance would only be provided after a one-month probationary period. Heartless boss
(Experience from one year ago)
The front-desk customer service staff were all young, and some were attractive.
(Experience from one year ago)
The front-desk customer service interviewer was too young and unable to ask professional questions.
There were only one or two full-time front-desk customer service employees; there must be some reason why there were so few.
The colleagues are nice
The managers’ internal fighting is too severe
The executive assistant often does things that you don’t know what they are supposed to accomplish. This also results in employees underneath not knowing what they are supposed to do, so efficiency is constantly being criticized as low. The assistant manager fights with their own people, but their methods are too clumsy, resulting in nobody getting along with them... In short, there is constant internal fighting
The floor-level leasing team is also dissatisfied, and year-end bonuses cannot even be paid
