Pros

[Boss]

The boss is a good person. You can sense that he is very skilled at business thinking. You can follow him.

However, business thinking itself is something that is very difficult to learn, and you may not necessarily be able to learn it effectively just by working.

Cons

I saw that in 2024, some people asked about the company’s reputation and interview experiences. I can only say that what you observed is generally consistent with reality.

This post adds other aspects that were not mentioned.

[Company Theme]

The company’s self-introduction mentions relying on technology, but there is a hidden figure in this company. That person is both reclusive and fond of holding onto a senior position for a long time. You will never see him in group photos with the company’s colleagues. He does not communicate much at work and also frequently speaks ill of former employees.

People come and go at the company, while that hidden figure is always there. So later, when some young people came for interviews and encountered a rude senior manager saying, “You’re wasting my time by coming to this interview,” that person really does have this kind of personality.

A major project has arrived, so the company should have a staffing gap. But will the company ultimately be able to bring in the revenue as hoped? I am not optimistic. There is a hidden figure in the company, so how are they supposed to complete a major project?

[Competitiveness]

So, returning to the company’s claim in its self-introduction that it relies on technology, what kind of technology would that be? What technology could the hidden figure possibly have, and what kind of technology could a company have when its other people keep coming and going?

Interviewees, if you simply take a quick look at the company’s product types, you will probably understand. When customers evaluate this kind of ERP product, they consider its intended use rather than the company’s technology. For an ERP product, having a basic relational table model already earns 60 points—in other words, functionality is enough. Customers will not care whether the technology is good or bad.

And when the company advertises that it has technology, it probably means that someone in the company particularly cares about technology. Who is that person?

[An Anecdote]

Back then, when I was defecating in the restroom on the company’s floor, I saw a piece of paper stuck to the back of the door. It contained a bunch of nasty insults cursing people for not flushing the toilet, and also said, “Don’t tear down this piece of paper, or you’re an animal.” At the time, I thought it seemed like something the hidden figure in the company would do. I removed the paper right then and there; I thought whoever posted it was inexplicable.

I wonder why it was on that company floor that I discovered such a strange thing. The paper was not necessarily posted by the hidden figure.

[Rating]

This comment is supplementary information. I’ll leave the rating as “Average,” indicating that the existing reviews and the ratio of positive to negative comments you can currently find online are roughly like that.

I hope this helps job seekers make clear judgments about their career paths when given the opportunity.
