Cons

You only realize how outrageous a workplace can be after working there. People with ability are not necessarily valued; instead, those who know how to flatter others and curry favor tend to do better. Certain managers spend all day meddling in everything and trying to control every little thing, yet they do not seem to have accomplished anything themselves. I am genuinely curious how they explain themselves to the boss. Then there is the product: its quality is really not very good. After spending so much time and resources, the end result is still full of problems. Some engineers work extremely slowly; whenever they encounter a problem, they start making excuses and shifting the blame. I really have no idea what they are busy with every day. When the product cannot even be done well, it would be strange if sales were good. There is also a great deal of gossip in the company, with people constantly forming cliques, making it very difficult for anyone who simply wants to do their work properly. There is not much to expect in terms of promotions or career development either. It feels as though knowing how to please your manager is far more important than your actual ability at work. On top of that, laying people off right before the year-end bonus season is truly heartless. Employees work hard, only to be treated this way in the end. Honestly, it is deeply disheartening. Some colleagues' hygiene habits also really need attention. The office sometimes has a strange smell, which makes people quite uncomfortable. In short, after working there, I completely lost respect for certain people. They have little ability, but they are very good at office politics. All I can say is that it is no surprise a company like this ended up this way. I hope I never have to encounter these people again. Thank you, truly.
