A large company, but the salary and benefits are pitifully inadequate.

The company is extremely stingy,

and only wants to cut salaries.

The way someone from the company conducted the phone interview felt like they lacked basic common sense,

constantly probing into what I had been doing after resigning from the job before my previous one, or asking whether I had pursued further education on weekends outside of work at the job before my previous one.

That was five years ago. In 2021, Taiwan was in the middle of the pandemic; starting in May, the government required people not to go out. Did they forget? Many things were put on hold at the time.

And they apparently don’t know that handling visa documents and preparing to travel abroad can be quite cumbersome.

What I did on weekends during the job before my previous one really is none of their business.

They’re more anxious about my future than I am—extremely strange.
