The work is flexible and easy, mainly just transporting patients. Company policy states that drivers only transport patients—they do not lift, carry, or push wheelchairs. The company provides the vehicle and is responsible for vehicle insurance, fuel costs, vehicle wear and tear, and the dashcam. When you request annual leave, supervisors will not complain. Unused annual leave can be exchanged directly for cash. There is an annual bonus (relatively small). If a patient asks you to perform duties beyond your job responsibilities and company policy, you can refuse directly. Complaints from patients to the company are not accepted. Suitable for people over 55 who want stable work until retirement.
The company only provides transportation services. If a driver performs extra tasks and the patient is injured, the driver must personally pay compensation. For example, if a patient falls while the driver is pushing a wheelchair, the family may seek compensation and file a lawsuit. Salaries are the same for new employees and those who have worked for 20 years, and there are few benefits.
