The ability to withstand adversity is very strong—even with a stock price of NT$6, the company still hasn’t been delisted.
In a rural area, the monthly salary offered to me was close to NT$50,000, but I still resigned. You really won’t make any progress.
If you’re just starting your career, or if you’ve lived in a city before, you really have better options. The company is very bureaucratic, though it’s understandable that bureaucracy is manageable there because of the people from Shanhua and Shanshang. Those with enough independent thinking and cognitive ability have all gone to the Southern Taiwan Science Park, so what about the people who stay there? Many rely on connections, like forming cliques, and are exclusionary—especially Ms. Yao from the Shipping Department. Honestly… she is the worst supervisor I’ve ever encountered. If anyone reading this knows a friend who wants to come here, please try to dissuade them if you can. I originally didn’t even know what emotional blackmail was; I only learned about it after coming here. Take care.
