The job is very easy to get by in: push everything onto other departments, and when a report is needed, ask someone else to provide the information so you can submit it. Every day at work, you can plan weekend trips, watch stocks, and speculate on futures. Whenever something happens, keep passing the buck and dragging things out; say it will be completed, and collude with the vice president, who earns 400,000 a month, to deceive the SAM president. When he insists on seeing the data, give him fake data—he will not check it anyway.
The management comes from China and Taiwan, and the infighting between them is extremely serious. Because they cannot find enough people, they hire some who cannot find jobs elsewhere or are very good at making grand promises. On top of that, there is the group of people at the Taipei headquarters who are idling around until retirement. Every day, they push responsibilities onto others. Human Resources leaks the managers’ pay slips, so all the Vietnamese employees know who earns 90,000, who earns 130,000, and who earns 400,000.
