(1) HR is “very” polite on the surface.
(2) A laptop purchase subsidy of NT$30,000 is provided, but it is not paid all at once. It is distributed over 2.5 years, with NT$1,000 paid per month as a general rule.
(1) You are assigned to work long-term at another company’s location, but you have to provide your own laptop (they will not provide a computer for work).
(2) They directly slash your expected salary by NT$5,000, reducing it to almost the same as your original salary, and then ask, “Is this acceptable?”
(3) If you politely decline an invitation arranged by HR, she may respond in a way that seemingly makes job seekers feel intimidated. The following is reproduced verbatim:
“Also, we would like to remind you in advance that OOOO maintains its own internal list of job seekers who cancel interview opportunities. This may affect your interview opportunities with them in the future. We wanted to let you know in advance. Thank you.”
Isn’t it superficially very polite but actually quite uncomfortable? :)
