Personally, I feel that the working environment for engineers is generally quite relaxed. When stationed at a client site or introducing products externally, people who are competent at their work do not face too much pressure, and can occasionally take a breather during busy periods.
As for the salary, it is commensurate with the workload. I feel this is suitable for people who want stability, and personally think it is quite good.
(I’m someone who prefers a comfortable, low-pressure lifestyle.)
Also, the managers and colleagues are nice, and the atmosphere is pretty good.
Work is actually fairly flexible, but your time is essentially tied up there.
Another thing is that the boss loves holding meetings. Sometimes I feel it would be enough for each task to be assigned to the manager and then communicated onward; meetings aren’t really necessary.
Also, although the job title is engineer, it is somewhat like a service-industry job. Sometimes you have to listen to customers’ complaints (though not many). In any case, besides your own professional expertise, you still need to know how to deal with people, so it is not suitable for someone who only knows how to bury their head in work.
Compared with the companies I have worked at in the past, I would give it about 7.5 out of 10.
The salary is fair, there are regular raises, and the work is not overly demanding.
If you have just graduated and really don’t know what to do, this is also a place where you can gain experience on your résumé at a publicly listed company, so it is quite suitable for newcomers.
