Cons

Ultimately, the production control assistant is expected to learn how to collect materials independently, control usage, return excess materials to the warehouse, and properly complete the relevant records.

However, at this company, packaging materials are put into production soon after they arrive and are shipped out again shortly afterward. The entire process moves very quickly, so the packaging materials do not actually have fixed storage locations.

However, there are hundreds or thousands of so-called packaging materials, many of which are actually components of the products rather than packaging materials in the usual sense.

The company does not have a proper warehouse management system. Wherever the delivery driver leaves the materials, you have to find them yourself.

You also have to use a hydraulic pallet truck to move the materials to the production site for the on-site operators.

The on-site operators currently also work as warehouse staff and are responsible for helping production control collect materials.

However, sometimes after materials arrive, even the on-site operators do not know where they were placed, and senior employees are also unclear.

I suspect this is because no one knows where the delivery driver left the materials. The workflow for the on-site staff is also very inefficient because they have to take on warehouse management duties as well.

The company as a whole has no ERP system and relies on manual management through Excel/Google Sheets/Gmail/Teams.

I noticed that production control sometimes seems to have complaints about procurement. In reality, I feel there is considerable room for improvement in the company's staffing and work arrangements for warehouse management, materials management, and production control; its process planning; and its shared system resources.

Materials management is responsible for the order-opening work for actual production control and quality control...

In short, the job appears to require physical strength and muscle, but this is something I cannot overcome T^T. I also did not clarify it thoroughly during the interview.
