1. A traditional industry family business. You are expected to do every kind of work, and the company lacks clear systems. Policies change from day to day, resulting in serious rework. When people encounter problems, they do not know whom to approach, and responsibilities and authority are extremely unclear.
2. There is also unhealthy teamwork. When employees encounter tasks they do not want to do, they pass the buck to one another. HR often accommodates employees’ wishes and rationalizes this behavior, making the unclear division of responsibilities even worse. Other people are given additional workloads without prior notice, and when something goes wrong, the company only looks for someone to blame. No one actually wants to solve the problems.
3. Daily gossip, badmouthing others, forming cliques, playing petty games, and working overtime due to unspoken rules are all commonplace at the company. Even when working hours are over, no one dares to leave before their supervisor. People often gossip about others only to have the person concerned overhear it, resulting in new hires being unable to stay.
Even when these situations are reported, management simply stands by and does nothing, believing there is no problem. This amounts to silently encouraging this kind of culture.
4. A place suitable for those looking to coast long-term, because if you do not want to do something, you can simply pass it off to someone else. It may also suit people who can accept overtime due to unspoken rules and do not mind a clique-based culture.
