Convenient transportation + most colleagues are easy to get along with
There are far too many violations of the Labor Standards Act... Every month they randomly deduct money from employees’ wages, and have the nerve to say that the company is helping you save money and will return it all at once three months later?!
Overtime is calculated at only 1.33 times the hourly rate. Work is distributed unevenly, with the attitude that as long as someone does the work, that’s good enough. Supervisors cannot receive overtime pay and can only take compensatory leave—this is their bizarre logic...
1. The company’s main office in Da’an District is really old and run-down. They have rented it for more than 30 years, and each floor has only two household-style restrooms. There is no cleaning staff, so employees have to take turns cleaning, taking out the trash, and mopping the floors. You cannot even take a lunch break at noon, and you also have to help collect the mail.
2. The vice president has a bad temper and loves to nag. They can go on for ages even over signing a payment request, and are extremely stingy.
3. Every month, the company randomly deducts several thousand dollars from employees’ wages, claiming it will be returned three months later. They do not mention this at all during the interview; you only discover it after joining and receiving your salary. It feels awful and is completely unreasonable.
4. The year-end bonus is calculated based only on base salary. The amount is so low it makes you question everything, and there is no fixed standard—it depends on the mood of the owner and their spouse.
5. At the spring banquet, all office staff are forced to work as event staff. You are so busy you cannot eat properly, and after the event ends, you still have to go outside and buy something to eat yourself.
6. The gifts for the three major festivals are all health supplements sold by the company itself, handed out as if they are doing employees a great favor. No bonuses are given.
7. The company Wi-Fi is extremely slow; using your own mobile data is actually faster.
8. When you want to resign, they use emotional pressure to demand that you give them a lot of time to find a replacement. If you do not, it is treated as your fault.
