Pros

There are stock allocations, but the shares aren't worth much.

About 16 months' pay per year.

Cons

The HR staff at Taiwan Fxxdy and the Vietnamese HR staff—both of them, including someone called A-Xiang—are very rude.

When I was assigned to Vietnam, right after I got off the plane, the people receiving me told me nothing about transportation, accommodation, or the company. They wouldn't provide any information even when I asked. After I started work, they kept delaying the visa application. They only arranged medical examinations after gathering 20 people. The work permit took 2–3 months. It's a classic case of using a brute-force manpower strategy, bringing in a bunch of Taiwanese and mainland Chinese staff to pad the numbers. Lunch was eaten with the workers, and there wasn't even enough to eat; dinner was on your own. On the surface, they claimed the accommodation was in an upscale residential area, but the inside was run-down, and not a single compartment cabinet could be closed properly.

They had mainland Chinese staff handle all the handover and training, and of course they made things extremely difficult for you. There was no proper training or organizational-chart orientation. As soon as I joined, the system was already putting my name on approvals, asking me to sign off on things with no context or explanation. The whole atmosphere was extremely strange.

I thought the standards at a listed company would be better, but I never expected it to be this terrible.

HR, who never even reads and responds to messages, will rush to urge you to return to Taiwan as soon as you resign, worried that your use of their visa will affect the company's reputation. But honestly, it is embarrassing to say that I once worked for such a terrible company...
