Freedom—you can go chat around the office during work, go downstairs to 7-Eleven to buy things, or wander around and occasionally go to a bank or post office.
There are often so many people lining up for the elevators when arriving at work in the morning that it causes lateness. There aren’t enough motorcycle parking spaces, so they have to be allocated by lottery. Some departments have a senior-employee-bullying-newcomer problem. Also, the year-end party has never had any lucky draws or bonus prizes; it’s simply a meal. What’s more, the company refuses to spend money hiring a host, and every day they make their own employees choose one man and one woman to host it, which is truly outrageous. Having an employee welfare committee is basically the same as not having one—the benefits are extremely poor. The employee cafeteria’s catered lunches are also difficult to eat, and they haven’t changed vendors for years.
