During the interview, the manager was very kind and friendly. Most of the managers in the RD team are technically capable, so there is a lot to learn from them. The atmosphere within the work team is also quite friendly (although it depends on the department).
In recent years, the company has frequently implemented unpaid leave, and most of the time it has not coordinated with employees beforehand. In April 2025, it even required employees to take leave and mandated that they use their “annual leave”; otherwise, their leave requests would not be approved. Moreover, the CHRO and HR manager never provided any explanation or clarification from beginning to end, leaving everything to frontline managers to handle. As a result, most employees chose to endure it so as not to put their managers in a difficult position.
In addition, the company has recently been promoting an online HR system. However, when employees traveling on business in North America raised questions about working hours, the CHRO responded that although Taiwanese employees traveling in North America work very hard, they must also accommodate Taiwan’s working hours, so they cannot report overtime separately. Overall, this left a very poor impression and made it feel that, even if the company has potential, such a disrespectful response toward employees is truly difficult to accept. Multiple complaints have been unsuccessful. Anyone considering applying for an HR position should avoid this company.
