Pleasant environment; challenging interview stages

After the second interview, the approved salary had been discussed and agreed upon over the phone. Although I was still employed at the time, HR requested the names of my current supervisor and colleagues as references. After extensive discussion, they agreed to accept my previous company's supervisor instead, but after the background check, I received a rejection letter.

I provided the same references to other companies and was successfully hired. Your company's requirement to contact an applicant's current supervisor is highly disrespectful to interviewees and wastes applicants' valuable time.
