None whatsoever!!
The worst and most outrageous interview experience I have ever had!!
Before receiving the company’s unsolicited invitation to interview, I had already seen a great deal of negative feedback about it online.
But I thought that a lot of time had passed and wanted to see whether the company had improved and made progress, so I agreed to attend the interview.
Before the interview, the company’s HR representative even sent me three documents to fill out, which truly wasted more than three hours of my time!
When I arrived at the company, I told the receptionist that I was there for an interview!
I was immediately led to a small meeting room to wait. Then someone who was probably from HR walked in‥
Suddenly, they told me: “The interviewing manager has something urgent to attend to and is currently in an online meeting” (that manager was actually the department director).
They asked me to wait in the meeting room, and HR also said it wouldn’t take too long! They said they wouldn’t let me wonder‥ “Why has it been so long and no one has come yet?”
In the end, HR contradicted themselves by giving me advance notice of exactly what was about to happen. What a joke!!
I immediately said: “How long will I have to wait? I have something to do later and will leave‥”
And sure enough‥ they began acting out exactly what everyone online who had interviewed at Car1 has shared‥
They treated the interviewee like a fool, with HR and the person in charge working together to toy with the candidate who had come for the interview.
HR had even notified me through the job bank: “Please be sure to arrive on time! If something comes up and you can’t make it, please let us know in advance,” and other such bullshit.
Yet they themselves failed to keep their word. For such a large automotive retail company‥ to show such disregard for talent is truly ridiculous. It was utterly laughable.
After waiting in the meeting room for half an hour, I got up, took my bag, and walked out, because if you don’t leave, who knows how long you’ll end up waiting?! Before leaving, I said to the employee at the reception desk: “This has been too long!” (pointing at my watch) “Look, do you know what time it is?
Later‥ shortly before 6 p.m., the other party (the interviewing manager) called and said something about someone coming to find them for a meeting or whatever! Then they said they were sorry and so on‥! They also asked when I would be available to come back for another interview. Of course, I did not agree outright; I politely declined instead.
So, after all these years, this company still hasn’t changed its old habits or negative reputation!!
Everyone, please be extremely careful with this company. I even suspect that the interviewing manager may have some kind of psychological disorder.
After toying with someone, they still call to test the person’s mood and state or something?!
They even deliberately left the door open and invited me to interview again‥ (but it was already meaningless.)
Even if you were invited to interview again, would you still want to go? To have such little respect for other people’s time, to have no sense of time yourself, and still be a manager? It’s utterly laughable. HR was also absolutely terrible, with no character or sense of ethics whatsoever.
