You can learn quite a lot because you have to learn how to solve problems on your own.
Choosing the right place is the first step to success.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease—you have to learn to complain loudly about how hard you work and how much effort you put in.
Otherwise, no matter how much you do, you’ll just be doing the work for someone else’s benefit. Your supervisor won’t care who did it; as long as someone gets it done, that’s all that matters.
You need to know how to proactively report your progress and contributions; otherwise, you’re no different from the person next door slacking off and scrolling on their phone.
