If you get into the boss’s inner circle, the salary and bonuses are pretty good.
The boss’s mood is unpredictable; when they’re in a bad mood, they greet your entire family with a whole repertoire of profanity.
You’re expected to be on call at all times. During peak seasons, you’re forced to work overtime. To put it nicely, the overtime pay for each hour is better than the statutory minimum, but you can end up working more than 12 hours straight, and work done after returning home isn’t counted as overtime. You get less than four hours of sleep a day.
There is unequal treatment when it comes to bonuses and benefits. People in the boss’s inner circle can receive substantial bonuses, while those outside the circle are worked like beasts, have their entire families cursed at, and are also ostracized and bullied, led by the boss and the inner-circle members.
