A man from Feinia called me, and this older gentleman immediately started rambling on about the past. He criticized my current company, saying it had no future (if yours has such a bright future, then why did you start out in sales...? Clearly, I have enough experience to start directly in the role...), then went on about how capable the tour guides at his company were. He said that if I joined, I would be trained from scratch, trying to lure me in with the promise of a stable salary. I asked whether, if I brought in a group of clients myself as a salesperson, I would be the one to lead the group. He then started stammering and speaking vaguely, saying it would depend on how I learned......

This older gentleman was also rather impolite. Later, I said I would think about it first and contact them again if I decided I was interested. I asked which person I should contact.

The man suddenly said that I was already over their preferred age limit of 30 (if that isn’t age discrimination in the workplace, what is???).

.....He talked by himself for an entire hour. Are you kidding me?! If they discriminate based on age, why call me and waste my time..... They only want young people who know nothing about the industry....people who are easy to brainwash. What an unpleasant phone call. I absolutely do not recommend them. That old man wasn’t even very polite, and at the end he told me to go find some other part-time work!!

On the phone, he told me that being around wealthy people would make me more refined........that I would be completely transformed.......blah blah blah. But all I felt was that when the senior manager from the company failed to convince me, all he had left to say was discriminatory nonsense—discrimination against hourly workers and discrimination based on age....

I think this company’s values are seriously misguided. I hope everyone avoids being deceived by them.
