Pros

The interview itself didn’t have any particular problems.

Cons

Line X department team leader

The male team leader is extremely woman-like, very nagging, and sometimes emotional. He always has a sour expression. His department cannot retain employees and is constantly replacing people. He doesn’t really chat with coworkers; apart from handling work, he hardly ever talks to anyone privately. He basically keeps to himself. He is extremely rigid and inflexible. I couldn’t stand it.

When I worked with a new colleague, the output was too low.

I told the new employee to take it slowly and do the work steadily. I hoped she could do it well before focusing on increasing her own numbers. The team leader then went to watch the surveillance cameras and check the contents of our conversation. Because the team leader nagged her, the new colleague became very angry and kept saying that the team leader was annoying and extremely nagging. The new colleague also asked about the team leader’s situation at the company. To put it bluntly, he really has no rapport with people.

Because there had been a previous issue with low output, when I worked at the first station, I recorded the quantity myself. Sure enough, that day’s output exceeded the required standard. This also protected me.

Later, when we did the same work again, the new colleague was working at the first station and again failed to meet the output standard. I was at the second station (the first station controls the output quantity).

At that point, the team leader nagged both of us. He knew what had happened, so I told him that I had recorded the quantity last time and that the output had met the standard. The next day, he told the new colleague that she needed to improve herself.

The next time we did the same work, when a new colleague was assigned to the first station, the team leader made an unreasonable demand: regardless of the circumstances, the quantity had to meet the target.

I felt that the work itself was quite OK. I can only say that I was unlucky to have encountered this team leader. Whatever!

I went to the bathroom two or three, or three or four, times a day during work hours and was nagged about it. He was unhappy and kept watching me while I worked. I had previously told the team leader that, because of my health, I needed to drink more water, so I would naturally need to use the bathroom more often.

I felt that he was my team leader, and I had already explained this to him. He did not stand up for his team member and instead acted this way. I felt that he was a person without warmth. This was the first time I had encountered a supervisor like this.

The last time, I went to the bathroom because I had a stomachache. He came to the line twice to check on me and reviewed the surveillance footage to see when I entered and left. When he came back, he questioned me about how long I had been in the bathroom. I became very nervous because of the issue with using the bathroom, so I went to my locker to get my phone in order to time myself and check how long I had spent in the bathroom. Afterward, I put my phone back in the locker and hurried back to the line to work. I had spent 10 minutes in the bathroom because of my stomachache.

It takes about five minutes to walk there and back, and the work area is somewhat far away.

The issue with using the bathroom made me extremely nervous and stressed. I often held in my urine, which caused severe swelling in my legs. In the end, the team leader pressured me into submitting my resignation.

I told the assistant manager about the situation. Although the assistant manager allowed me to provide medical documentation, I said it was unnecessary because I did not want to continue working there. The assistant manager was also very kind and told me to think it through carefully and not act impulsively.

I went home and thought about it for two days, but I still could not accept this team leader or being treated this way. I really felt wronged. I only hoped that I could meet a good supervisor at my next job.

At my previous job, when I needed to use the bathroom, the supervisor said I could just go by myself and did not need to ask. It was very humane. Even if I was hungry sometimes, it was fine to eat a small biscuit.

As long as the work output met the target, that was enough.

We could even wear earphones and listen to music while working.

Later, due to a low number of orders, the company downsized and laid off employees.

Everything stated above is completely true.
