Pros

The interview itself was not a problem.

Cons

Line X department team leader

The male team leader is extremely feminine, very nagging, and sometimes emotional, with a sour expression. His department cannot retain employees and is constantly replacing people. He does not really chat with colleagues; apart from handling work, he hardly ever talks to anyone privately. He basically keeps to himself. Extremely rigid. Unbearable.

When I worked with a new colleague, the output was too low.

I told the new employee to take it slowly and work steadily. I wanted her to do the job well before asking her to focus on her own quantity. The team leader then checked the surveillance cameras and investigated the content of our conversation. Because the team leader kept lecturing her, the new colleague became very angry and kept saying that the team leader was annoying and extremely nagging. The new colleague also asked about the team leader's situation at the company. To be completely frank, he really has no people skills.

Because of the first issue with low output, when I worked at the first station, I recorded the quantities myself. Sure enough, the output that day exceeded the required standard. This also protected me.

Later, when we did the same work again, the new colleague was working at the first station and again failed to meet the output standard. I was at the second station (the first station controls the output quantity).

At that point, the team leader lectured both of us. It was not as if he did not know what had happened, so I told him that I had recorded the quantities last time and that the output had met the standard. The next day, he told the new colleague to improve on her own.

The next time we did the same work, when a new colleague was at the first station, the team leader made an unreasonable demand: no matter what, the quantity had to meet the target.

I felt the work itself was quite okay. I can only say that I was unlucky to encounter this team leader. Whatever!

I was criticized for going to the bathroom two or three, or sometimes three or four, times during a workday. He was upset and kept watching me while I worked. I had told the team leader before that, because of my health, I needed to drink more water, so I would also need to use the bathroom.

I felt that he was my team leader, and I had already explained this to him. Instead of speaking up for his team member, he acted this way. I feel that he is a person with no warmth. This was the first time I had encountered a supervisor like this.

The last time, I went to the bathroom because of stomach pain. He came to the work line and watched me twice, and he checked the surveillance footage to see when I entered and left. When he came back, he questioned me about how long I had been in the bathroom. I became very nervous because of the bathroom issue, so I went to my locker to get my phone in order to time myself and check how long I had been in the bathroom. After using the bathroom, I put my phone back in the locker and hurried back to the line to work. I was in the bathroom for ten minutes because of the stomach pain.

It took about five minutes to walk there and back, since the work station was somewhat far away.

The bathroom issue made me very nervous and stressed. I often held in my urine, which caused severe swelling in my legs. In the end, the team leader pressured me into submitting my resignation.

I told the assistant manager about the situation. Although the assistant manager allowed me to provide a medical certificate, I said I did not need to—I did not want to continue working there. The assistant manager was also very kind and told me to think it through carefully and not act out of anger.

I thought about it for two days after going home, but I still could not accept this team leader or being treated this way. I truly felt wronged. I only hope that at my next job, I can meet a good supervisor.

At my previous job, when I needed to use the bathroom, my supervisor said I could just go and did not need to ask. It was very humane. Even if I was hungry sometimes and ate a small cookie, it was fine.

As long as the work output met the target, that was enough.

We could even wear earphones and listen to music while working.

Later, because there were fewer orders, the company downsized and laid off employees.

Everything stated above is completely true.
