Pros

The interview itself was not a problem.

Cons

Line X department team leader

The male team leader is extremely feminine, loves nagging, and can be emotional at times. He always has a sour expression. His department cannot retain employees and is constantly replacing people. He does not chat much with colleagues; aside from handling work, he hardly talks with anyone privately. He basically keeps to himself and is extremely rigid. I couldn't stand it.

When I worked with a new colleague, our productivity was too low.

I told the new employee to take it slowly and do the work steadily. I wanted her to do it well before requiring her to increase her output. The team leader then watched the surveillance cameras and checked the content of our conversations. Because the team leader nagged at the new colleague, she became very angry and kept saying that the team leader was annoying and nagged too much. The new colleague also asked about the team leader's situation at the company. To put it bluntly, he really has no people skills.

Because of the first issue involving low productivity, when I worked at the first station, I recorded the quantity myself. As expected, my output that day exceeded the standard. This also protected me.

Later, when we did the same work again, the new colleague was working at the first station and once again failed to meet the productivity standard. I was at the second station (the first station controls the output quantity).

At that point, the team leader nagged at both of us. He knew perfectly well what had happened, so I told him that I had recorded the quantity last time and that the productivity target had been met. The next day, he told the new colleague that she needed to improve herself.

The next time we did the same work, when a new colleague was at the first station, the team leader made an unreasonable demand: no matter what, the quantity had to meet the target.

I felt that the work itself was pretty OK. I can only say that I was unlucky to encounter this team leader. Whatever!

I went to the restroom two or three, or three or four, times a day during work hours and was nagged about it. He was unhappy and kept watching me while I worked. I had once told the team leader that, because of my health, I needed to drink more water, which meant I would also need to use the restroom more often.

I felt that he was my team leader, and I had already explained this to him. Instead of speaking up for his team member, he acted this way. I felt that he was a person without warmth. This was the first time I had encountered a supervisor like this.

The last time, I went to the restroom because of stomach pain. He came to the work line twice to check on me and reviewed the surveillance footage to see when I entered and left. When he came back, he questioned me about how long I had been in the restroom. I became very nervous because of the restroom issue, so I went to my locker to get my phone in order to time myself and check how long I had spent in the restroom. Afterward, I put my phone back in the locker and hurried back to the line to work. I had been in the restroom for 10 minutes because of the stomach pain.

It takes about five minutes to walk back and forth, and the work area is somewhat far away.

The restroom issue made me very nervous and stressed. I often held in my urine, which caused severe swelling in my legs. In the end, the team leader pressured me into submitting my resignation.

I told the assistant manager about the situation. Although the assistant manager allowed me to provide a medical certificate, I said it was unnecessary because I no longer wanted to work there. The assistant manager was also a very good person and told me to think it over carefully and not act out of anger.

I thought about it for two days after returning home, but I still could not accept this team leader or being treated this way. I truly felt wronged. I only hope that at my next job, I can meet a good supervisor.

At my previous job, when I needed to use the restroom, my supervisor said I could just go and did not need to say anything. It was very humane. Even if I was hungry sometimes, it was fine to eat a small bite of a biscuit.

As long as the work output met the target, that was enough.

We could even wear earphones and listen to music at work.

Later, because there were fewer orders, the company downsized and laid off employees.

Everything stated above is completely true.
