Pros

The interview itself didn’t have any particular problems.

Cons

Production Line X Team Leader

The male team leader is extremely feminine, loves nagging, and can sometimes be emotional. He always has a sour expression. His department can’t retain employees and is constantly replacing people. He doesn’t really chat with coworkers; aside from handling work, he hardly talks to anyone privately. He basically keeps to himself. He is extremely rigid and by the book. I couldn’t stand it.

When I worked with a new coworker, the productivity was too low.

I told the new employee to take it slowly and do things steadily. I wanted her to do the work well before requiring her to increase her output. But the team leader went to check the surveillance cameras and review the contents of our conversations. Because the team leader nagged at her, the new coworker became very angry and kept saying that the team leader was awful and extremely nagging. The new coworker also asked about the team leader’s situation at the company. To put it bluntly, he really has no people skills.

Because there had been a previous issue with low productivity, when I worked at the first station, I recorded the quantities myself. As expected, my productivity that day exceeded the required output. This also allowed me to protect myself.

Later, when we did the same work again, the new coworker was working at the first station and again failed to meet the productivity standard. I was at the second station (the first station controls the production quantity).

At that point, the team leader nagged at both of us. It’s not as if he didn’t know what had happened, so I told him that I had recorded the quantities last time and that my productivity had met the standard. The next day, he told the new coworker that she needed to improve herself.

The next time we did the same work, when a new coworker was at the first station, the team leader made an unreasonable demand: no matter what, the quantity had to meet the target.

As for the work itself, I felt it was okay. I can only say that I was unlucky to run into this team leader. Whatever!

I was reprimanded for going to the restroom two or three, or three or four, times a day during work hours. He was unhappy and kept staring at me while I worked. I had previously told the team leader that, because of my health, I needed to drink more water, which meant I would also need to use the restroom.

I felt that he was my team leader, and I had already told him about this, but instead of standing up for his team member, he acted this way. I felt that he was a person without warmth. This was the first time I had encountered a supervisor like this.

The last time, I went to the restroom because I had a stomachache. He came to the production line twice to check on me and reviewed the surveillance footage to see when I entered and left. When he came back, he questioned me about how long I had been in the restroom. I became very nervous because of the restroom issue. I went to my locker to get my phone so I could time myself and check how long I was in the restroom. After using the restroom, I put my phone back in the locker and hurried back to the production line to work. My stomachache kept me in the restroom for 10 minutes.

It takes about five minutes to walk there and back because the work area is somewhat far away.

The restroom issue made me very nervous and stressed. I often held in my urine, which caused severe swelling in my legs. In the end, the team leader pressured me into submitting my resignation.

I told the assistant manager about the situation. Although the assistant manager allowed me to provide medical documentation, I said I didn’t need to and that I didn’t want to continue working there. The assistant manager was also very kind and told me to think it over carefully and not act out of anger.

I went home and thought about it for two days, but I still couldn’t accept this team leader or being treated this way. I truly felt wronged. I only hope that at my next job, I can meet a good supervisor.

At my previous job, when I needed to use the restroom, my supervisor said I could just go and didn’t need to report it—it was very humane. Even if I was hungry sometimes, it was okay to eat a small bite of a biscuit.

As long as the work productivity met the target, that was enough.

We could even wear earphones and listen to music while working.

Later, because there were fewer orders, the company downsized and laid off employees.

Everything stated above is completely true.
