Pros

The interview itself did not have any problems.

Cons

Assembly Line X team leader

The male team leader is extremely feminine, very nagging, and sometimes emotional, with a sour expression. His department cannot retain employees and is constantly replacing people. He does not chat much with coworkers; apart from handling work, he hardly talks to anyone privately. He basically keeps to himself. Extremely rigid. Unbearable.

When I worked with a new colleague, our productivity was too low.

I told the new employee to take it slowly and do the work steadily. I hoped she could do it well before worrying about her own output. The team leader then went to watch the surveillance cameras and check the contents of our conversation. Because the team leader nagged at her, the new colleague became very angry and kept saying that the team leader was annoying and extremely nagging. The new colleague also asked about the team leader’s situation at the company. To put it frankly, he really has no rapport with anyone.

Because there had been a problem with low productivity the first time, I recorded the quantity myself while working at the first station. Sure enough, that day’s output exceeded the standard. This also allowed me to protect myself.

Later, when we did the same work again, the new colleague was working at the first station and once again failed to meet the productivity standard. I was at the second station (the first station controls the output quantity).

At that point, the team leader nagged at us again. He knew what had happened, so I told him that I had recorded the quantity last time and that the productivity had met the target. The next day, he told the new colleague that she needed to improve herself.

The next time we did the same work, when a new colleague was at the first station, the team leader said it was an unreasonable requirement, but regardless of anything, the quantity had to meet the target.

I feel that the work itself is okay. I can only say that I was unlucky to encounter this team leader. Whatever!

I went to the restroom two or three, or three or four, times a day during working hours and was nagged about it. Then, because he was unhappy, he kept staring at me while I worked. I once told the team leader that, because of my physical condition, I needed to drink more water, which meant I would also need to use the restroom more often.

I felt that he was my team leader, and I had already explained this to him, but instead of speaking up for his team member, he acted this way. I think he is a person without warmth. This was the first time I had encountered a supervisor like this.

The last time, I went to the restroom because I had a stomachache. He came to the production line to check on me twice and reviewed the surveillance footage to see when I had entered and left. When he came back, he questioned me about how long I had been in the restroom. Because of the issue with using the restroom, I was very nervous. I went to my locker to get my phone so I could time myself and check how long I had been in the restroom. After I finished, I put my phone back in the locker and hurried back to the line to work. I spent 10 minutes in the restroom because of my stomachache.

It takes about five minutes to walk there and back, and the work station is somewhat far away.

The restroom issue made me very nervous and stressed. I often held in my urine, which caused severe swelling in my legs. In the end, the team leader pressured me into submitting my resignation.

I told the assistant manager about the situation. Although the assistant manager allowed me to provide a medical certificate, I said I did not need to and that I no longer wanted to work there. The assistant manager was also very kind and told me to think it over carefully and not act impulsively.

I went home and thought about it for two days, but I still could not accept this team leader or being treated this way. I truly felt wronged. I only hope that at my next job, I can meet a good supervisor.

At my previous job, when I needed to use the restroom, the supervisor said I could just go and did not need to report it—it was very humane. Even if I was hungry sometimes, it was okay to eat a small biscuit.

As long as the work output met the target, that was enough.

We could also wear earphones and listen to music while working.

Later, due to a decrease in orders, the company downsized and laid off employees.

Everything stated above is completely true.
