Pros

The interview itself was fine; there weren't really any problems.

Cons

Line X Department Team Leader

The male team leader is extremely feminine, loves to nag, and can be emotional at times. He always wears a sour expression. His department can't retain employees and is constantly changing staff. He doesn't really chat with his colleagues; apart from handling work, he hardly talks to anyone privately. He basically keeps to himself and is extremely rigid. I couldn't stand it.

When I worked with a new colleague, the productivity was too low.

I told the new employee to take her time and work steadily. I hoped she would do the job well before focusing on meeting her own quota. The team leader then checked the surveillance cameras and reviewed the content of our conversation. Because the team leader nagged at her, the new colleague became very angry and kept saying that the team leader was annoying and nagged constantly. The new colleague also asked about the team leader's situation at the company. To be frank, he really has no interpersonal appeal.

Because of the first issue with low productivity, I counted the units myself while working at the first station. Sure enough, that day's productivity exceeded the required output. This also protected me.

Later, when we did the same work again, the new colleague was working at the first station and once again failed to meet the productivity standard. I was at the second station (the first station controls the production quantity).

At that point, the team leader nagged at both of us. He knew perfectly well what had happened, so I told him that I had counted the units last time and that the productivity had met the standard. The next day, he told the new colleague that she needed to improve herself.

The next time we did the same work, when a new colleague was at the first station, the team leader said it was an unreasonable request, but insisted that the required quantity had to be met regardless.

I felt that the work itself was okay. I can only say that I was unlucky to have encountered this team leader. Whatever!

I went to the restroom two or three, or three or four, times a day during work hours and was nagged about it. He was unhappy and kept watching me while I worked. I had told the team leader before that, because of my health, I needed to drink more water, which meant I would also need to use the restroom.

I felt that he was my team leader, and I had already explained this to him, but instead of speaking to me as one of his team members, he acted this way. I felt that he was a person without any warmth. This was the first time I had encountered a supervisor like this.

The last time, I went to the restroom because I had a stomachache. He came to the line twice to check on me and adjusted the surveillance footage to see when I entered and left. When he came back, he questioned me about how long I had been in the restroom. I became very nervous because of the restroom issue, so I went to my locker to get my phone and time myself, in order to check how long I had been in the restroom. After using the restroom, I put my phone back in the locker and quickly returned to the line to work. I had been in the restroom for 10 minutes because of my stomachache.

It takes about five minutes to walk there and back, and the work area is somewhat far away.

The restroom issue made me very nervous and stressed. I often held in my urine, which caused severe swelling in my legs. In the end, the team leader pressured me into submitting my resignation.

I told the assistant manager about the situation. Although the assistant manager allowed me to submit medical documentation, I said it wasn't necessary because I no longer wanted to continue working there. The assistant manager was also very kind and told me to think it over carefully and not act impulsively.

I went home and thought about it for two days, but I still couldn't accept this team leader or being treated this way. I truly felt wronged. I only hope that at my next job, I can meet a good supervisor.

At my previous job, if I needed to use the restroom, the supervisor said I could just go and didn't need to ask. It was very humane. Even if I sometimes got hungry and ate a small cookie, it was fine.

As long as the work productivity met the standard, that was enough.

We could even wear earphones and listen to music at work.

Later, due to a lack of orders, the company downsized and laid off employees.

Everything stated above is completely true.
