Regardless of whether they have experience or are newcomers or long-serving employees, everyone who joins this company without exception is thrown into project sites full of problems. On top of that, the veteran senior managers, who love hierarchy, are exceptionally good at slacking off and passing the buck.
Newcomers, don’t mistakenly think you are the hope of the whole village—you are actually starting out directly in hell mode.
Pros:
1. You can eat a lot of big promises that you otherwise wouldn’t get to eat
2. Starting salary is below the industry standard
3. The boss occasionally tells stories about the old days
4. Very skilled at criticizing employees
1. Labor and health insurance are not based on the insured salary bracket
2. Overtime is not paid according to the applicable overtime multiplier
3. The fixed-responsibility system works you to death
4. The boss decides whether to give a raise based on how he feels
5. Construction drawings are missing things here and there; it is considered normal for all five major systems to be missing from the drawings
6. Frontline site employees work extremely long hours
7. A layered, overlapping organizational structure
8. Veteran-level managers are better at passing the buck than producing results
9. There is no training or development system
10. Some materials at the site have been there longer than the employees’ years of service
