The workload is like a rain shower—sometimes there’s a lot to do, and sometimes you’re so idle you just scroll on your phone. The plant manager is essentially the branch manager. Whenever you hear “the company has decided,” unless there’s an official written notice, 99% of the time it’s actually something the plant manager decided.
New technicians are trained only by traditional methods and senior technicians. If you don’t do well, the technicians will bluntly berate you. After maintenance, the senior technicians do not perform a final inspection; if there is a problem after the vehicle is returned, you’re screwed. New hires do not receive hourly-work bonuses during their first three months. Depending on the individual, there may be night-shift duty. Basically, the duty schedule violates labor laws (8 hours + 16 hours on duty + 8 hours of work the following day). New hires who want the money can stay; at this company, it depends on whether your mentor takes to you.
