The workload is like a rain shower—sometimes there’s a lot, and sometimes there’s so little you end up scrolling on your phone. The plant manager is essentially the branch company’s owner. Whenever you hear “the company decided,” unless there’s an official document, 99% of the time it was actually the plant manager’s decision.
New technicians are trained only through traditional methods and by senior technicians. If you don’t do the job well, the technicians will chew you out without holding back. After maintenance, the senior technicians do not conduct a final inspection; if there is a problem after the vehicle is released, you’re screwed. New hires do not receive hourly-work bonuses during their first three months. Depending on the individual’s situation, there may be evening shifts. Basically, the shifts violate the Labor Standards Act (8 hours + 16-hour shift + 8 hours of work the next day). New hires who want money can go for it, but at this company, your experience depends on which master technician you get paired with.
