The workload is like a rain shower—sometimes there’s a lot, and sometimes you’re so idle you end up scrolling on your phone. The plant manager is essentially the branch’s owner. Whenever you hear “the company has decided,” unless there’s an official document, 99% of the time it’s something the plant manager decided.
New technicians are trained only through traditional methods and by senior technicians. If you don’t do well, the senior technicians will harshly berate you. After maintenance, the senior technicians do not perform a final inspection; if there is a problem after the vehicle is released, you’re screwed. New hires do not receive hourly-work bonuses during their first three months. Depending on the individual, there may be night shifts. Basically, the shifts violate the Labor Standards Act (8 hours + 16-hour shift + 8 hours of work the next day). New hires who want the money can stay, but at this company, everything depends on whether your mentor takes a liking to you.
