The workload is like a passing rain shower—sometimes there’s a lot to do, and sometimes you’re so idle you just scroll on your phone. The plant manager is essentially the branch manager. Whenever you hear “the company has decided,” unless there’s an official written notice, 99% of the time it’s actually the plant manager’s decision.
New technicians are trained only by traditional methods and senior technicians. If you don’t do the job well, the technicians will berate you without holding back. After maintenance, the senior technicians do not perform a final inspection; if there is a problem after the vehicle is released, you’re screwed. New employees do not receive hourly-work bonuses during their first three months. Depending on the individual, there may be night shifts. Basically, the shift system violates the Labor Standards Act (8 hours + 16 hours on duty + 8 hours of work the next day). If new employees want the money, they can stay; this company depends on whether your master technician takes a liking to you.
