The workload is like a passing rainstorm—sometimes there’s a lot to do, and sometimes you’re so idle you end up scrolling on your phone. The plant manager is essentially the branch-company boss. Whenever you hear “the company has decided,” unless there’s an official document, 99% of the time it’s actually the plant manager’s decision.
New technicians are trained only by traditional methods and senior technicians. If you don’t do a good job, the senior technicians will chew you out without holding back. After maintenance, the senior technicians don’t perform a final inspection; once the vehicle is released, any problems mean you’re screwed. New hires receive no hourly-work bonus during their first three months. Depending on the individual, there may be night-shift duty. Basically, the duty schedule violates labor law (8 hours + 16 hours on duty + 8 hours of work the next day). If newcomers want to make money, they can stay; at this company, everything depends on whether your master takes a liking to you.
