The workload is like a burst of rain—sometimes there’s a lot to do, and sometimes you’re so idle you just scroll on your phone. The plant manager is essentially the branch manager. Whenever you hear “the company has decided,” unless there’s an official document, 99% of the time it’s actually the plant manager’s decision.
New technicians are trained only by senior technicians through traditional, hands-on instruction. If you don’t do well, the technicians will bluntly berate you. After maintenance, the senior technician will not perform a final inspection; once the vehicle is released, any problems mean you’re screwed. New employees do not receive hourly-work bonuses during their first three months. Depending on the individual, there may be night-shift duty. Basically, the duty schedule violates labor laws (8 hours of regular work + 16 hours on duty + 8 hours of work the next day). If newcomers want money, they should stay; at this company, everything depends on whether the master technician takes a liking to you.
